I've always been partial to OHK weapons. Yeah I've used a lot of SMG's over the years also but snipers and shotty's are by far my favorite. The R870 is a great gun, I'm pushing 25,000 kills with it. I personally don't think it's OP at all. There are lots of times I'm beat, mostly due to distance. No matter how good you are with a shotgun, it doesnt make you invincible. Most opportunities afford one shot. You miss, you die. The distance sucks, the reload time sucks, you move slightly slower than an enemy with a SMG, etc. IMO, it takes a lot of practice to learn how to move around a map with one. Just like others stated, stay out of the CQ shotty areas, I stay out of the wide open areas with my shotty. It's all relative. Example, I die a lot trying to cross the center of the Nuketown map. But, if I make it, life is usually good for awhile.
